Portal Gun 5

A Portal gun I made for my Chell costume at Anime North 2012.
I'm so glad everyone liked it. Thank you for the all the incredible compliments!

It took about a month to make it, on and off of course.
It's made out of things from my recycling bin
Some people didn't believe me and asked where I bought it haha!
So flattered!

The front barrel is made of ribbon spools, card stock, tulle, and craft foam. The centre of the gun is a pop bottle. Inside it is another pop bottle cut and rolled smaller with blue paper in it. The case around it is thin cardboard with paper mache in it to add weight and thickness. Back centre is made of a cheerios box with wire and craft foam for the handle. Back shell type thing is thin cardboard and paper mache. Bottom front is cardboard. The claws are cardboard and the tube things are some kind of gardening wire I found at the dollar store. I also had some thick wire running through the whole bottom part of the gun to make it stronger so I could hold it with one hand. And of course, lots and lots of hot glue.
